OBIT WALKER, WILLIAM BURN

WALKER, William Burn, 82, of Roanoke, died Thursday, September 23, 1993. He was a retired coal miner. Survivors include one daughter, Gwendolyn Walker, Roanoke; five grandchildren, James Melvin Lockridge, Roanoke, Eleanor Dickerson, Maryland, Iris Dickerson, Los Angeles, Calif., Mark Smith, Louisiana, Antonio Smith, Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Rosie Goins, Princeton, W.Va., Ida Hopkins, Landside, W.Va., Mona Dickerson, Detroit, Mich.; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rev. and Mrs. George Ferguson, Roanoke; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church. Rev. J. A. Keaton will officiate, with interment in Williams Memorial Park. Arrangements by Hamlar-Curtis Funeral Home.
