ANDERSON-BIRDSONG

The marriage of Miss Anne Gordon Birdsong, of Raleigh, North Carolina, and Mr. Paul Hill Anderson, of Roanoke, took place Saturday, October 9, 1993, at 4:30 p.m. in Franklin Baptist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Mrs.Gordon Gilbert Birdsong, of Franklin, and the late Dr. Birdsong.

The groom is the son of Capt. and Mrs. John Wynn Anderson, J.A.G.C., USN Ret., of Honolulu, Hawaii.

The Rev. Dr. Michael J. Clingenpeel, of Richmond, officiated the double ring ceremony. The bride was given in marriage by her cousin, Robert E. Smith, of Manchester, Tennessee.

The matron of honor was Mrs. John Hunt Coker, of Franklin, and the maid of honor was Miss Elizabeth Wilson Keane, of Richmond. Bridesmaids were Miss Cynthia Lynne Anderson, of Richmond; Miss Kay Ellen Joyner, of Franklin; Miss Elizabeth Davis Lanford, of Richmond; Mrs. Matthew Alan Morris, of Baltimore; Miss Elizabeth Page Munford, of Arlington; and Mrs. Mark Edward Newcomb, of Charlottesville, sister of the groom.

Brian Alan Gilley was the best man. Groomsmen were James Troy Abbott, of Weyers Cave; John Matthew Anderson, of Arlington, brother of the groom; Robert Miller Arthur, of Richmond; William Kemp Barksdale, of Charlottesville; Thomas Nathan Brown, of Waldorf, Maryland; Donald Porter Peery, Jr., of Roanoke; and Ian Donald Titley, of Richmond.

The reception was held at Cypress Cove Country Club.

The bride attended Mary Washington College and graduated from the Medical College of Virginia School of Pharmacy.

The groom is a graduate of James Madison University and the George Mason School of Law.

Following a cruise to the Western Caribbean, the couple will reside in Raleigh, North Carolina.
