FAIRCHILD-HOLT

Crystal Dawn Holt and AshleyArmstrong Fairchild were marriedSeptember 25, 1993 at 4:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church of Kernersville, N.C.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold T. Holt of Colfax, N.C. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John E. Fairchild of Buena Vista. The maternal grandparents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Stanley A. Tweddle of Buena Vista. The paternal grandparents are Mrs. Edna C. Fairchild and the late Thomas M. Fairchild of Deep Gap, N.C.

The Reverend Amos Daniel performed the double ring ceremony. Rhonda Green and Billy Riggs of Kernersville, N.C.performed a duet; Sheila Moose was the organist.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. The bride wore an exquisite ball gown design of silk taffeta. Theoff-the-shoulder sweetheart neckline was softly accented by iridescent sequins. The cluster highlights of pearls accented the princess style bodice. The short pouf sleeves featured silk magnolia blossoms with pearl cluster centers. Parading down both sides of the skirt, softly pearledappliques lead down to the hem. The back bodice was covered with reembroidered sequined lace, with a hint of iridescent sequins. The extensive bead-work was featured on the appliques that swept the back of the royal train. The elegantre-embroidered alencon hem lace edging the gown was encrusted with pearls and iridescent sequins. The bride wore a tiara of Austrian crystals and pearls; the veil was chapel length.

Rina Jones from Winston-Salem, N.C., was the honor attendant. She wore aformal gown of black silk shantung. The long fitted gown had pearl and rhinestone button enclosures, capped sleeves and key hole back.

The bridesmaids were Rhonda Green, Alica Sparrow, Lisa Bauguiss, all ofKernersville, N.C.; Gina Matthew,Winston-Salem, N.C.; and Barbara Cagle, High Point, N.C. They were all friends of the bride and they wore gowns matching the honor attendant.

The best man was John E. Fairchild, father of the groom. The groomsmen were Bradley Fairchild, brother of the groom, of Buena Vista; Mike Holt, High Point, N.C. and Jeff Holt, Kernersville, N.C., brothers of the bride; Rod Darling,Atlanta, Ga., friend of the groom; and Chris Wilmer, W. Hollywood, Calif., friend of the groom.

A reception was held in the church fellowship hall hosted by the bride'sparents. A wedding party followed at the Greensboro Embassy Suites.

The groom's parents hosted arehearsal dinner on Friday evening at the Airport Marriott, Greensboro.

The bride graduated from EastForsythe High School and earned her BSN from Gardner Webb University and is Head Nurse of cardiac surgery intensive care unit, Henrico Doctor's Hospital in Richmond. The groom is a graduate of Parry McCluer High School and earned a BA from Virginia Military Institute in 1989. He is an Account Manager for CMS Automation in Richmond. After ahoneymoon to Antigua, the couple will reside in Richmond.
