LAGAN-DOWDY

Elizabeth Ann Dowdy and Tim Duane Lagan were married Saturday, August 14, 1993 at six o'clock, in the First United Methodist Church in Pearisburg, Virginia.

The Rev. John Lemasters, Rev.Warren Stewart and Rev. Gordon Wright performed the double-ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Eddie L. Dowdy, Jr., of Pearisburg, Va. and the bridegroom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. H. Duane Lagan of Blacksburg, Va.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents.

The matrons of honor were Lila Wright Hill of Roanoke, Va. and Tammy Collins Spencer of Christiansburg, Va. The maids of honor were Donna Sue Clark of Blacksburg, Va. and Melinda Lynn McFall of Harrisonburg, Va. Bridesmaids were Merryl Cohen, Wilmington, N.C.; Tammy Craft of Roanoke, Va.; andCheryl Parcell of Narrows, Va. Juniorbridesmaids were Meg Gallagher ofCharlotte, N.C. and Jessica Naff ofBlacksburg, Va. Flower girl was Grace Meier of Blacksburg, Va.

Lee Lagan of Blacksburg, Va., served as best man. Groomsmen were David Cross of Enid, Oklahoma; Tony Dowdy of Richmond, Va.; Dusty Rex Eby of Enid, Oklahoma; John Sanders of Salem, Va.; and Steve Wright of Christiansburg, Va. Ring bearer was Lagan Lippard of Blacksburg, Va.

Music was provided by FaithPlummer, pianist and organist. Vocalists were Jim and Violet Long and Lila Hill. Trina Rollins of Roanoke, Va., served as the wedding director; Sharon Hackney of Pearisburg, Va. attended the guestbook and Jacquie Stowers of Newport, Va. was program attendant.

The bride is a graduate of Giles High School and The College of Health Sciences in Roanoke, Va. She is employed byLewis-Gale Hospital as a Registered Nurse.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Okeene High School, Okeene, Oklahoma and is presently attending RadfordUniversity majoring in ElementaryEducation.

The wedding reception was held at the Giles Country Club in Pearisburg.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will live in Roanoke.
