JOHNSON-BUSH

Merilea Ann Bush and Bruce Dietrich Johnson were united in marriage onOctober 9, 1993, in St. John's Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, Va., with the Rev. W. Hank Brooks officiating. The reception was held at Shifting Sands on Dam Neck Naval Base.

The bride is the daughter of Kenna R. Bush and Juanita M. Bush of Virginia Beach. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Dietrich Johnson, Jr., of Roanoke.

Susan Heffington of Virginia Beach, served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sherry Vaughan of Virginia Beach; Margaret J. Kirkman, sister of the groom, of Pierceton, Ind.; Melanie Wilson ofVirginia Beach, and Rina Angus of Milton, W.Va., cousins of the bride. The flowergirl was Jacqueline Bush of Virginia Beach, niece of the bride.

Mr. Johnson served his son as best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Johnson, brother of the groom, of Roanoke; Hans Kirkman, brother-in-law of the groom, of Pierceton, Ind.; Christopher Shockley of Roanoke; and Russell Stockton of Atlanta, Ga. The ringbearer was Colton Angus of Milton, W.Va., cousin of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Kellam High School, Virginia Beach, and OldDominion University. She is employed by Capes Ocean Resort, Virginia Beach.

The groom is a graduate of Cave Spring High school and is serving with the U.S. Navy.

Following a wedding trip to Florida, the couple will reside in Virginia Beach.
