Sheila Dawn Poff and David Allen Spates were united in marriage onOctober 2, 1993 at the Christiansburg Church of the Brethren. Rev. Charles Smith officiated at the double ringceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Juniorand Frances Poff of Floyd. She is thegranddaughter of Nina Bower and the late Irvin Bower of Floyd and the late Ruby and Millard Poff of Floyd.

The groom is the son of Ken and Suzan Spates of Chattanooga, Tenn. He is the grandson of Ken and Ruth Spates of Cape Coral, Fla. and Allen and Barbara Wilson and the great-grandson of Maurine Peterson, all of Hot Springs, S.D.
