WEST-HENDRICK

Wanda Jill Hendrick and JosephBenjamin West were married on October 9, 1993, in Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roanoke. The couple was united in marriage by the groom's father, Rev. Melvin L. West. The reception was held at the church.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph H. Hendrick, of Vinton. The groom is the son of Rev. and Mrs. Melvin L. West, of Roanoke.

Miss Valerie Hendrick was her sister's maid of honor, and Ed West, brother of the groom, was best man. The usher was Chris West, nephew of the groom. The guestbook was attended by Jenny Ferguson, friend of the bride.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white satin gown with Schiffli lace. It had a sweetheart neckline, and the bodice was beaded with pearls and sequins. The basque waistline fell into a full skirt and had a large bow in back. The extra long chapel train had cut out accents with matching lace and pearls. She carried a cascading bouquet of Stargaze lilies, cala lilies, freesia, mini-carnations, Stephanotis, baby's breath, and Italian Russcus.

The wedding music was provided by the groom's sisters, Kim Owens andVannie Harrell, and brother, Ed West.

Special thanks are extended to the family of the groom for making the couple's day especially meaningful.
