OBIT FELTS, PEARL GERTRUDE FISHER

FELTS, Pearl Gertrude Fisher, 95, of Max Meadows, died Tuesday, October 12, 1993, at the Birdmont Health Care Center. She was born in Wythe County, the daughter of the late Joseph and Melinda Fisher. She was a member of the Ft. Chiswell United Methodist Church, where she served as an adult Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles C. Felts; a daughter, Dorothy Felts Archer; a son, Roy Edwin Felts; a son-in-law, Fendall Ellis. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Geneva and Fred Steffey, Rural Retreat, Marie Ellis, Richmond, Roy Archer Jr., Max Meadows; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles W. and Lavonne Felts, Midlothian, Joseph L. Felts, Roanoke, Evelyn Felts, Christiansburg; ten grandchildren; one stepgrandchild; five great-grandchildren; two stepgreat-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 14, 1993, at 11 a.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morris and Mr. Jack King officiating. Interment will follow in West End Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Barnett Funeral Home, or at the residence of Fred and Geneva Steffey in Rural Retreat at any time. The family suggests that those who prefer may make memorials to the Ft. Chiswell United Methodist Church. Barnett Funeral Home in Wytheville is in charge of the arrangements.
