OBIT WOOD, TOMMY L.
WOOD, Tommy L., 89, of Dunn Ave., Richmond, passed away Thursday, October
14, 1993 at a Richmond hospital. He was a native of South Hampton County, Va
and a member of Galilee Baptist Church, Branchville, Va. He was preceded in
death by his wife, Eula L. Wood. Survivors include five daughters, Mrs.
Elizabeth W. Steele, Portsmouth, Mrs. Utelia Ryland, Orange, N.J., Mrs. Nira
L. Moore, Newport News, Mrs. Theda M. Edwards and Mrs. Jean L. Bell, both of
Richmond; 19 grandchildren, among them Rev. and Mrs. Dwight O. Steele Sr. of
Roanoke; 29 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral services
will be held Sunday 2:30 p.m. at Galilee Baptist Church, Branchville.
Interment will be in the church cemetery. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge
