OBIT-REXRODE, MARY LUCY

REXRODE, Mary Lucy, 83, of 3424 Preston Ave., Roanoke, died Wednesday, October 20, 1993 in the Friendship Manor Nursing Home, Roanoke, following a long illness. On February 3, 1910, she was born in Windsor, N.C. to the late John Wesley and Mary Ida Askew Leggett. She lived in the Hopewell, Va. area before moving to Baltimore, Md., where she worked for Oles Envelope Company. Following her retirement, she lived in Florida before moving back to Roanoke. She was the widow of Ercil V. Rexrode, who died September 9, 1973. She is survived by two stepsons, Ercil V. Rexrode, Jr., Roanoke and Laverne O. Rexrode, Palm Bay, Fla. Seven grandchildren also survive. A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, October 22, 1993, at the Emanuel Church Cemetery, Mt. Solon, with the Rev. B. Eugene Shaver officiating. The body has been cremated. Arrangements are by Johnson Funeral Service, Bridgewater.
