OBIT-RUBLE, LILLIE ATKINS

RUBLE, Lillie Atkins 85, of Roanoke, passed away Wednesday, October 20, l993, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She joins her family in Christ. Left to sorrow at our loss are a sister, Mae Hunter of Sinks Grove, W. Va.; a great-granddaughter, Andrea Ruth Baldwin (Andi) and a great-grandson, Michael A. Ruble (Tony); granddaughter and husband, Cynthia R. & John D. Baldwin; grandson and wife, Michael L. and Alaina R. Ruble; son and daughter, James L. and Helen D. Ruble. In her last act of charity which was characteristic of her life, her body was donated to science. A celebration of her life will be held at 17th Street Baptist Church at 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 24, l993. The Reverend William Crane will officiate. The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the 17th Street Baptist Church, The Shrine Crippled Children's Hospitals (c/o Kazim Temple) or your favorite charity. The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away, blessed be the name of the Lord. Amen.
