OBIT-JOYNER, JOSEPH DOUGLAS

JOYNER, Joseph Douglas, 47, of Floyd, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 20, 293. He was a member of Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren. He was a former laboratory technician at the Radford Arsenal and most recently, a student at Wytheville Community College. He is survived by his wife, Judy Mannon Joyner, Floyd, Va.; three daughters, Mrs. Marty (Dawn) Shaw, Manteo, N.C., Devan Joyner, Virginia Beach, Va., Jessica Vest Floyd, Va.; one son, J. Douglas Joyner Jr., Virginia Beach Va.; mother, Lois Morgan, Virginia Beach, Va.; father, J. Malcolm Joyner, Norfolk, Va.; one sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Wayne Holloman, Virginia Beach, Va.; one granddaughter, Mallory Shaw, Manteo, N.C.; father and mother-in-law, Jimmy and Martha Mannon, Floyd, Va. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 23, 1993 at Beaver Creek Church of the Brethren with Rev. Richard Thomas, Rev. William Stovall and Rev. Hebron Quesenberry officiating. Interment will follow in Beaver Creek Cemetery. Friends may call after 9 a.m. Friday at Gardner Funeral Home, where the family will be from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New River Valley Hospice, P. O.
