OBIT-LESTER, MARY FRANCES

LESTER, Mary Frances, 60, of Christiansburg, died Thursday, October 21, 1993 in Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was a long time member of the Bethel United Methodist Church. The daughter of the late George A. and Eva G. Austin, she is survived by her husband, Harold L. Lester; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Donald Akers, Kathy and Stevie Thompson and Joanie L. Turman, all of Christiansburg; her mother-in-law, Ora Higgs, Christiansburg; grandchildren, Tracy and Mark Shumate, Lori Turman, all of Radford, Donald (Bubby) Akers and Anthony Gennosa, both of Christiansburg; one great grandson, Joshua William Turman, Radford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joseph and Mabel Austin, John and Ruth Austin, all of Radford, George and Ruby Austin, Riner; a sister and brother-in-law, Annie and Arlan Taylor, Worland, Wyo.; one special niece, Betty Cullop, Brightwood. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, October 23, at the Bethel United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 Friday evening at the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home.
