FUND DRIVE INITIATED FOR VICTIM'S FAMILY

A fund has been established to help defray expenses incurred by the family of Melody Caldwell, a Roanoke woman killed this month in a house fire.

The Rev. Charles Green, who is heading up the fund drive, said contributions can be made at any branch office of First Union Bank or delivered or mailed to Green's address at 1731 Hanover Ave. NW.

The family lost all its belongings in the fire and must pay Melody Caldwell's medical bills. She was paralyzed in a 1987 automobile accident.
