NEW GERMAN MEMORIAL ANGERS JEWS, NEO-NAZIS

German leaders tried to make Sunday's dedication of a national war memorial a somber occasion but were heckled by protesters and dogged by neo-Nazis who tried to converge on a cemetery outside town.

Saying that the new shrine does not adequately separate victims from persecutors, the leader of Berlin's Jews boycotted Sunday's ceremony. So did leftists and Nazi victims' groups.
