OVERSEAS HOLIDAY MAIL NEEDS TO GO OUT TODAY

Today is the deadline for air-delivered holiday gifts and greetings to many overseas locations. Surface mail deadlines have already passed.

This is the last day to send letters, cards and parcels to Africa, Europe, the Far East, Greenland and Southeast Asia.

Letters and cards to the Middle East and parcels to Central and South America also must be mailed today. The deadline for parcels to the Middle East was Nov. 15.

The letter, card and parcel deadline for Australia and the Caribbean is Monday.

Military airmail and priority mail addressed to APO/FPO AE, ZIP codes 090 to 097; APO/FPO AP, ZIP codes 962 to 966; and priority mail to APO/FPO AA, ZIP code 340 must be mailed today.

The deadline is Thursday for priority mail and space-available mail to U.S. domestic ZIP codes. Air letters and cards to domestic military addresses may be mailed through Dec. 9.

Deadlines for all other military mail have passed.
