SHRINERS' MOTOR PATROL HOLDS ANNUAL FRUIT SALE

The Kazim Shrine Motor Patrol is accepting orders for fruit as part of its 20th annual fresh fruit sale.

Orders for navel and juice oranges, tangeloes and grapefruit may be made through Monday. Boxes cost $18 for one type and $19 for two types of fruit. Profits from the sale support the motorcycle unit.

\ Roanoker is museum educator of the year

Mark Scala of Roanoke has been named Outstanding Museum Educator of the Year by the Virginia Art Education Association.

Scala coordinates programs for school children for the Art Museum of Western Virginia. He has been an art educator for 14 years.
