BALL, Mattie Susan Jones, 72, of Roanoke, passed away, Monday, December 6,
1993. She has gone to be with the Lord. Survivors include one son, Ronald D.
Ball, Simpsonville, S.C.; two daughters, Judy S. Byers of Vinton, Carol A.
Ball, Amelia Island, Fla.; three sisters, Mary Ella Jones, Reba Jane Jones,
Clara Mae Akers, all of Roanoke; four grandchildren, Cindy Byers Hunnell,
Roanoke, Randy Byers, Vinton, Adam Ball and Aaron Ball, Simpsonville, S.C.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, December 9, 1993, 2 p.m. at the Church
of God of Prophecy on Roanoke Avenue, with the Rev. Fred Rakes and the Rev.
R.J. Reynolds officiating. Entombment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park Chapel
Gardens Mausoleum. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday
at the Lotz Salem Chapel.
