KLAN STILL OPPOSED TO INTEGRATION PLANS

The Ku Klux Klan held a weekend roadside Christmas gift sale to protest federal officials' plans to integrate - for a second time - an all-white public housing complex.

Texas Klan leader Michael Lowe, who led rallies against Vidor integration last year, joined fellow members Saturday at the sale of such items as T-shirts, tapes and Confederate flag stickers.

Mayor Ruth Woods has promised to cooperate with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, which wants to move a black family into the complex in January.
