DONATIONS BEING SOUGHT FOR COMMUNITY CENTER

Roanoke County's newest Community Center will open this spring in the former Administration Center at 3738 Brambleton Ave.

Donations of materials, appliances, furnishings and labor are needed to improve the center. For more information, call Debbie Pitts at 387-6090 or Marcia Patton at 387-6061.

A contest also will be held to name the center, which will serve children, teens and adults.

Suggestions should be sent to Name the Center, 3738 Brambleton, Ave., 24018. Deadline for entries is Feb. 1.

The grand prize will be a $50 gift certificate for any program in the Parks and Recreation Department.

The winner will be announced on Mar. 15 on the Roanoke Valley government access channel, Cox Cable channel 3.
