Vanessa Williams, the once-defrocked Miss America, will make her Broadway debut this summer, weaving her musical web in the Tony Award-winning "Kiss of the Spider Woman."

Williams will replace Chita Rivera, who has been with the show since it opened in 1992 in Toronto.

Williams was voted Miss America in 1984, but was stripped of her crown because she appeared nude in Penthouse magazine.

"I was probably the worst postman in the history of the post office," "NYPD Blue" star Dennis Franz told TV Guide. "I used to start my route at daybreak, and I would finish long after dark. I'd stop for doughnuts. I'd play with animals. I'd go home with my bag of mail and just lay around the house a bit, not realizing I was breaking the law. Then I'd go back out and finish the route. People would be at the door, in the dark, waiting for me to deliver this mail. They were so [ticked] off. I didn't last very long."

Dr. Hook, who sang of his longing to be on "The Cover of the Rolling Stone," may see his police mug shot there next.

The 57-year-old singer, whose real name is Ray Sawyer, was arrested Saturday in Jackpot, Nev., and charged with possession of marijuana. Police said they found the pot in Sawyer's hotel room after receiving complaints that his band openly used drugs.

Continuing to cash in on her Olympic fame, figure skater Nancy Kerrigan has signed a multiyear contract with Revlon.

The silver medalist will appear in print and television ads, the cosmetics company announced Monday. Terms of the agreement were not given.
