PARENTING WORKSHOP THURSDAY|

Steven Vannoy, an author and lecturer on parenting skills, will present ``The 10 Greatest Gifts I Give My Children'' on Thursday night from 7 to 9 at the Roanoke Civic Center Auditorium.

Admission is free.

The parenting seminar is sponsored by Community Hospital of Roanoke Valley.

Vannoy's ``joyshop'' is designed to help parents learn the sources of their children's values and qualities and the effect they have on their lives.

He uses exercises in awareness and education, in examining our view of the world, ourselves and our families and nurturing the values that support our purpose in life.
