WILDERNESS AWARENESS CLASS MEETS

A wilderness awareness class is being offered to people age 13 and above at the Blacksburg Community Center on Patrick Henry Drive on Tuesday, March 8 7-9 p.m. Cost is $4 per person.

The class will introduce four basics of a survival situation: building a simple shelter, starting a fire without matches, collecting clean drinking water and finding food in any environment. Participants should bring a notebook and a pen.
