ROANOKE ROLLS TO MEN'S ODAC WIN

Brett Smith and Porter Smith each had three goals and an assist to lead Roanoke College to an 18-5 rout of visiting Guilford in ODAC men's play.

Brett Smith moved into second place on the Maroons' all-time goals list with 121, passing George Parks at 120. Sean Smith set the all-time record of 145 from 1981-83.

Roanoke, ranked No. 8 in Division III, improved its record to 3-1 overall and 1-0 in the ODAC. Guilford was playing its opener.

In Charlottesville, Kelly Daddona score five goals as top-ranked Virginia rallied from a one-goal halftime deficit to defeat eighth-ranked Old Dominion 11-8 in women's action.

Lisa Plzak scored the go-ahead goal for the Cavaliers with 5 minutes, 15 seconds remaining on an assist from Daddona. Daddona and Cherie Greer each added one more to seal the victory for UVa (2-0).

Ann Windover scored five goals for the Monarchs (1-1).
