STEPHANIE PRICE, daughter of Mack Price and Naomi Price of Roanoke, was named to the dean's list at Winston-Salem State University for the fall 1993 semester.

Price, a senior, is a graduate of William Fleming High School.

EMORY & HENRY COLLEGE has named several Roanoke Valley residents to the dean's list for the 1993 fall semester. They are: Heather Ammerman and Beth Blankenship, both of Roanoke; David Arnold and Jennifer Sparger, both of Salem; Annette Wizorek of Vinton; Robyn Mundy of Daleville; and Karen Sigmon of Troutville.

DAVID S. PERRIN, son of David and Dottie Perrin of Roanoke, has been named to the Dean's List for fall 1993 at Berklee College of Music in Boston.

MELINDA L. HAYES of Roanoke and a student at Lynchburg College, will be included in the 1994 edition of ``Who's Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges.''

Hayes, a senior psychology and special education major, is the daughter of Jerry and Dorothy Hayes of Roanoke and a 1989 graduate of Northside High School.

VIRGINIA MILITARY INSTITUTE has named eight Roanoke-area residents to its Dean's List for the first semester of the 1993-94 academic year.

They are: Danny Walker Felty, son of Mr. and Mrs. Danny W. Felty; Chad Neal Correll, son of Mrs. Linda Yates; Mark Q. Emick Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Mark Q. Emick; James A. Donato, son of Dr. and Mrs. Antonio T. Donato; and Brandon Robert Cornett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cornett, all of Roanoke; Phetsavanh Xayavong, son of Sivilay Xavavong; and Robert T. Prince, son of Mr. and Mrs. William Prince Jr., both of Blue Ridge; and Bradley Thomas Yeatts, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Yeatts of Salem.

THE GENERAL JAMES BRECKINRIDGE CHAPTER OF THE DAUGHTERS OF THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION has named four winners of the 1993-94 DAR Good Citizenship Award.

The award is given to seniors and recognizes dependability, service, leadership and patriotism.

They recipients are: Amy Suzanne Patterson, Lord Botetourt High School, daughter of Sandra F. Wrobel of Roanoke; Ryland Bennett Moore, North Cross School, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Moore of Roanoke; Ellen Coley Harris, Patrick Henry High School, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bayard Harris of Roanoke; and Betsy Jean Correll, Roanoke Valley Christian Schools, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Correll of Roanoke.

NORTHSIDE HIGH SCHOOL has announced the names of marching band students selected to participate in the All-District band. Those chosen for the symphonic band are: Kerry Wood, baritone; Cathy Higgins, flute; Steve Consigllo, snare drum; Chris Deel, snare drum; Rusten Bailey, tenor saxophone; Ron Vance, baritone saxophone; Amy Bolin, bass clarinet; Brian Burks, trombone; Angie Benson, trombone; Mike Dowe, tuba; Jimmy Murdock, trumpet; and Nikki Colley, clarinet.

Those picked for the concert band are: Amanda Pagans, piccolo; Christy Reedy, flute; Tim Saunders, trombone; Ben Cannada, alto saxophone; Christina Sluder, oboe; Billy Wade, trumpet; and Jack Gary, trumpet.

RADFORD UNIVERSITY has announced the names of Roanoke-area students who graduated at the end of the fall 1993 semester.

Receiving bachelor of science degrees were: Charles Randolph Boush, Anthony Todd Kageals, Kimberly M. Kageals, Charles Hampton Poff Jr., Lisa K. Baker, Hope Elizabeth Fetherolf, Chadrick J. Garber, Dawn Michelle McCormack, Abbigail Phillips, Danette D. Semones, Karen L. Ptaschek, Darren S. Graham, Michelle L. Kelley, Suzanne Gay Sowers, and Jason D. Williams, all of Roanoke; Crista Jonnel Peace of Fincastle; Tracy D. Heath of Daleville; Melinda Jane Hoops and Tobi S. Loyd, both of Troutville; and Jennifer Rae Barnes and Tonda M. Stallard, both of Vinton.

Receiving bachelor of business administration degrees were: Eric T. Jennings, Mathew Branson McAllister, Angela Leigh Moseley, Ryan K. Ramson, and Thomas William Lindsey, all of Roanoke; and Michael L. Young of Troutville.

Receiving bachelor of arts degrees were: Frank Imre Frittman and Alvarino M.S. Goulart, both of Roanoke.

Receiving bachelor of general studies degrees were: Carl Franklin Smith and Roseann Ohanian, both of Roanoke.

Receiving master of science degrees were: Steven Miles McGuire, Stuart Cameron Sibley, Frank Dent, Fred Paul Roessel and Kimberly Renay McNair, all of Roanoke.

Receiving a master of business administration degree was Wayne Morris Ramsey of Roanoke.

EARNEST PANTON CLARK JR., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clark of Roanoke, recently was awarded the 1994-95 Presidential Scholarship from Cedarville College in Cedarville, Ohio.

Clark, a graduating senior at Roanoke Valley Christian Schools, was recognized for his school achievement and potential for high college achievement.

GARLAND S. LYNN and L. TEMPLE FORSYTH, both of Roanoke, were named to the first-semester ``high list'' at Episcopal High School in Alexandria.

Lynn, son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard M. Lynn, and Forsyth, daughter of Logan and Louise Forsyth, are both sophomores. Both students earned an overall grade average of 90 or above and are listed in the top 13 percent of their class.

MARY COURTNEY ROBINSON and NICOLE KRISTIN MILKO, both of Roanoke, were named to the dean's list for the fall semester at Salem Academy and College in Winston-Salem, N.C.

Robinson is the daughter of Maryann S. Robinson. Milko is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl N. Milko.

MARY WASHINGTON COLLEGE has announced the names of Roanoke Valley students who were named to the dean's list for the fall semester. They are senior Mark D. Tanis of Salem; freshman Catherine P. Bradshaw of Roanoke; junior Victoria L. Meador of Salem; freshman Kelley C. Harris of Vinton.

GUILFORD COLLEGE in Greensboro, N.C., recently announced the names of Roanoke Valley residents who made the dean's list for the fall semester. They are: Eric K. Nordberg of Daleville, son of Alan and Blair Nordberg; Mark Ferguson of Roanoke, son of Sandra Ferguson of Roanoke and Larry Ferguson; Amanda York Phillips of Roanoke, daughter of Janet Phillips-Burrow and Steve Phillips; Jay Bradley Thomas, son of Michael and Sandra Thomas of Roanoke.
