`AN EVENING IN FLORENCE'

The University Club at Virginia Tech will present "An Evening in Florence," featuring entertainment by Craig Fields and Italian cuisine by Sally Roraback of Capers Catering Wednesday. Refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and a concert at 8 p.m.

Fields, associate professor of music at Virginia Tech and director of the Blacksburg Master Chorale, will perform Italian operatic arias in this concert. In his work as resident director of Opera Roanoke, Fields has staged and produced operas which include "The Magic Flute," "La Boheme," "Die Fledermaus," "The Barber of Seville," "Carmen" and "Don Giovanni."
