VMI WRESTLER 4TH IN NCAA

VMI's Charley Branch finished fourth in his weight class at the NCAA Wrestling Championships at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, N.C., the best finish ever for a Keydets wrestler.

Branch (36-4), seeded fifth in the 142-pound class, lost 5-4 to Ohio State's Dunyasha Yetts in a third-place match. The junior from Petersburg became VMI's first wrestler to earn All-America honors, which go to the top eight finishers in each weight class.

Virginia Tech heavyweight Josh Feldman won the final match of his college career, beating North Carolina's Justin Harty 8-2 for seventh place. Feldman (28-7), a fifth-year senior, finished his career with an 85-23-1 mark and became the third-winningest wrestler in Hokies history.

Virginia's Mike Krafchick finished fifth at 134.
