TECH WOMEN RUN RECORD TO 5-0

Virginia Tech's women soccer team set a school record for consecutive victories Saturday by beating Appalachian State 3-0 at the BB&T Kickoff Classic in Buies Creek, N.C.

Michelle Hager, Kara Medlock and Heidi Skinner scored goals for the Hokies, who continued their best-ever start by improving to 5-0. Tech's previous longest winning streak of four straight wins was set in 1993.
