OBIT-JENNINGS, ELMER DILLON

JENNINGS, Elmer Dillon, 61, of Hillsville, passed away Saturday, January 1, 1994, at his home. He was born in Carroll County, March 4, 1932, the son of John Quincy Jennings and Rausey Lucinda Alderman Jennings. He is survived by two daughters, Debra Jennings of Charlottesville, Jennifer Jennings of Richmond; five sisters, Octavia Ruth Thompson of Durham, N.C., Mrs. Elmer (Maxie) Edwards of High Point, N.C., Mrs. John R. (Edith) Edwards of Max Meadows, Mrs. Grady (Modest) Lacky of Martinsville, Mrs. Eleanor Isabelle Edwards of Hillsville; two brothers, Mr. Archie Jennings of Hillsville, Mr. Marshall Jennings of Max Meadows. Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 4, 1994, at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, Va. with the Rev. Clarence Marshall and Rev. Lane Pennington officiating. Burial will be in the Jennings Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, January 3, 1994, from 7 to 9 p.m. Military rites at graveside by Hillsville V.F.W. Post #1115. Funeral arrangements by Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel, Hillsville, Va.
