OBIT KELLY, MARION P.
KELLY, MARION P., of Roanoke, died Monday, January 24, 1994 in Lowell,
Mass. She was formerly Roanoke Valley President of the Extension Homemakers.
She was recording secretary of the Young at Heart Group at Our Lady of
Perpetual Help Catholic Church. She was a volunteer at Lewis Gale Hospital,
with 20 years service and was the widow of John J. Kelly. Surviving are two
sons; Lawrence F. Kelly, Chelmsford, Mass., Stephen M. Kelly, Burke, Va.;
daughter, Peggy K. Emerson, Salem; three grandchildren, Christopher M. Kelly,
Kelly R. Emerson, Sarah S. Emerson; one sister, Margaret Parry, Glendale,
Calif. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to The
Young at Heart Group at our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Funeral
mass will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic
Church by the Rev. James E. Parke. Interment will follow in St. Andrews
Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m.
Thursday, at Oakey's North Chapel.
