GEORGIA-PACIFIC PLANS INVESTMENTS

Georgia-Pacific Corp., Atlanta-based forest-products company with operations in Bedford County and a distribution center in Roanoke, on Wednesday announced a $1.6 billion capital investment program targeted at its wood products businesses. Included is construction of an oriented strand board plant at Brookneal, Va., and a hardwood sawmill at Beckley, W.Va.
