OBIT-GILBERT, NAOMI SMALLWOOD

GILBERT, Naomi Smallwood, 69, of Salem, died Sunday, February 13, 1994, in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert H. Gilbert and her daughter, Judy. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby (Sonny) and Patti Gilbert, Roanoke; two grandchildren, Bobby Gilbert Jr., Tammy Lynn Gilbert; three sisters, Bertha Brown, Maryland, Mary Lou Arnold, Roanoke, Joan Johnson, Fairfax; two brothers, Cecil Smallwood, Beckley, W.Va., Charlie B. Smallwood, Mechanicsville, Va.; also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's North Chapel 11:30 a.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Mark Washington officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
