ARRINGTON, CLARENCE GIBBS SR., ("DAP"),

ARRINGTON, Clarence Gibbs Sr., ("Dap"), 77, of Roanoke, and formerly of Vinton, passed away Thursday morning, February 10, 1994, in a local hospital. He was owner and operator of Arrington's Garage and was predeceased by Connie Arrington; four brothers, Glenn Arrington, Burke Arrington, Pete Arrington, Johnny Arrington. He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Clarence G. Jr. ("Sonny") and Bertie Arrington, Vinton, Jan W. and Wanda Arrington, Vinton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna A. and Wayne Gilbert, Myrtle Beach, S.C., Kathy and Ralph Toler, Columbia, S.C.; two brothers, Dick Arrington, Vinton, Ralph Arrington, Hillsville; three sisters, Saluda Baldwin, Ruth Helms, both of Vinton, Gladys Arrington, Lynchburg; four granddaughters, Karen Toler, Columbia, S.C., Tracy Arrington, Roanoke, Tiffany Arrington and Courtney Arrington, both of Vinton; a grandson, Fred Toler, Columbia, S.C.; two great-grandchildren, Santana and Kristin Toler, both of Columbia, S.C. Funeral services were held noon Saturday, February 12, 1994, from the Lotz Vinton Chapel with Rev. John E. Wallace officiating. Interment was at Mountain View Cemetery.
