BALL, Maggie Margaret Trent, 81, of Roanoke, died Tuesday, February 22,
1994, in a local hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, William
R. Ball Sr. She was an active and dedicated charter member of East End Baptist
Church. Surviving are her son, William Ball Jr.; daughter, Jean Cregar;
grandsons, William R. Ball III, William J. Cregar, Robert S. Cregar;
granddaughters, Kimberly Rivera, and Rebecca Lynn Ball; great-grandchildren,
Alicia and Joshua Ball, Christina, Jackie and Jimmy Rivera; brothers, Houston
Trent, Lawrence Trent, Claude Trent, and Walter Trent; sister, Lula Brown; and
many loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Friday, February
25, 1994, at 3 p.m. at East End Baptist Church with the Rev. Olin Glidden and
the Rev. Roy Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial
Gardens. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday,
February 24, 1994 at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel.
