JOHNSON-BARNETT

Christine Ruth Barnett and Lee Taylor Johnson were married February 26, 1994 in Salem Presbyterian Church with Dr. Leighton Culler and Rev. Olivia Haney officiating. The dinner reception was held at The Holiday Inn, Salem.

The maid of honor was Ann Lester, cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids were Tina Crisco, Terri Hall and Stephanie Slusher, friends of the bride. DennisJohnson, father of the groom, was best man. Groomsmen were Roy Johnson, brother of the groom; Ronnie Crisco and Mason Hall, friends of the groom. Ushers were Patrick, Sean and Andrew Field, cousins of bride. Ringbearer was Philip Pugh, cousin of groom. The guestbook was attended by Patricia Field and AliceLester. Cake was cut by Kathryn Pugh. Gift table was attended by TiffanieTinsley.

The bride wore an off-the-shoulder gown of white shantung with Alencon lace and pearl applique. She carried a bouquet of white roses on a Family Bible.

The bride is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Barnett. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ruth S. Trainum and the late Patrick H. Trainum, and Mr. W.H.Barnett, Jr. and the late Christine S.Barnett. She is a graduate of Salem High School and Radford University, and is employed by Roanoke County Schools.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sonny Tinsley and Mr. Dennis Johnson. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pugh and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Johnson of Chilhowie, Va. He is a graduate of Salem High School and is currently attending Radford University, pursuing a degree in Physical Education.

The newlyweds will live in Roanoke following a wedding trip to the Bahamas.
