CRASH VICTIM STILL IN SERIOUS CONDITION

A 31-year-old Blacksburg woman remained in very serious condition Monday from injuries she suffered in a head-on collision in Roanoke County, which killed the other driver on Sunday morning.

Cinda M. McCoy of Blacksburg was at the neuro-intensive care unit of Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The driver of the other car, Edward C. Whitt, 28, also of Blacksburg, died at the accident scene, at Blacksburg and Sandy Ridge roads, according to police.

The 5:35 a.m. accident still was under investigation Monday. Roanoke County police said that Whitt's car was found on the wrong side of the road, in McCoy's lane.
