In Blacksburg, William Byrd graduate Matt Reynolds hit an RBI-single with two out in the 10th inning to give Virginia Tech a 14-13 baseball win over James Madison.

The 14 runs were the most scored against JMU this season.

Tech held a 13-5 lead after six innings, but the Dukes (25-14) rallied to tie the score in the ninth.

The score was 13-13 after nine innings. The Dukes stranded the potential go-ahead run at second base in the top of the 10th. In the bottom of the inning, the Hokies got their leadoff runner aboard when Justin Dobson walked. Shortstop Mike Terhune sacrificed him to second and JMU intentionally walked third baseman Bo Durkac. Cleanup hitter David Fitt also walked to load the bases. Reynolds then hit a long drive to the right-field warning track to score Dobson.

Durkac led Tech (20-17) with three hits and six RBI. JMU's Jason Troilo had four hits, including a home run, and four RBI.

The Hokies will play a doubleheader against Virginia today at English Field beginning at 1 p.m.
