ROANOKE HOMES, GARDENS OPEN FOR TOUR

Three of the five houses on this year's Historic Garden Week Roanoke Tour of Homes and Gardens Week Roanoke Tour of Homes and located next door to each other and built at the same time by the same builder, were open together during the 1962 tour and will open ahain Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the first time since then under the present owners.

The late Benjamin Parrott built the Pennsylvania farmhouse at 3112 Somerset Street in 1936 for himself and his family. The property has remained in the family, and today, Parrott's son, John C. Parrott II, an investment broker for Wheat First Securities Inc., enjoys residing in the house he grew up in.
