Due to incorrect information announced at a public hearing, it was incorrectly reported that a representative of Blue Ridge Community Services spoke at a City Council public hearing Monday night.

Also, the Convention and Visitors Bureau received $500,000 from Roanoke this year and $79,000 from Roanoke County. The city and county have not acted on its funding requests for the upcoming fiscal year.

Clarification

Roanoke City Council candidate Barbara Duerk says she does not favor elected school boards, but she does not object to holding a referendum on the issue.
