POST OFFICE HALTS DELIVERY, WINDOWS

Because of the national day of mourning today for former President Richard Nixon, area post offices will suspend mail delivery and window service, although mail processing will continue.

Special Delivey and Express Mail will be delivered.

Other federal offices, including the Jefferson National Forest headquarters in Blacksburg, also will be closed.

However, area banks are expected to be open today.
