FOR THE RECORD

Corrections

Stolen street signs cost the city of Roanoke between $5,000 and $6,000 a year, according to Gary Bowman, a supervisor in the Traffic Department. An item in Monday's paper had the amount wrong.

\ The phrase "semidiameter lifestyle" appeared in Melissa DeVaughn's story on the Outdoors page Monday. The sentence should have read, "These weekend trips were therapeutic for Ruby and me, helping us to cope with our return to a sedentary lifestyle - Ruby confined in a house, me in an office."

Amplification

State police continue to investigate the one-car accident in Botetourt County that killed Brian Wayne Andrews of Salem early Sunday. Andrews was a passenger in a car that police think was driven by Charles Travis Shelor of Buchanan. Shelor told police he was not driving the car.
