HSMM promotes two

STEPHEN L. SOWDER and MICHAEL N. BISCOTTE have been promoted to senior associates at Hayes, Seay, Mattern & Mattern, a Roanoke architectural, engineering and planning firm. Sowder, an architect, has been with HSMM since 1985 and is head of the Roanoke office's architectural department. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects. Biscotte, a structural engineer, joined the firm in 1980 and has recently been appointed a project manager. He is secretary of the Roanoke chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers.

HEALTH CARE

DANIEL CLOW and DEBBIE C. SMITH have joined to form Pinevale Counseling and Managed Care Services in Roanoke. Clow is a licensed professional counselor and was formerly in private practice at the Counseling Center and has published his research on violent men. Smith is a licensed clinical social worker and has practiced at Walnut Ave. Clinic for the last six years. The team will offer solution-based services involving a variety of issues.

HOSPITALITY

DONNA WEBB, KELLIE WESTMORELAND, KELLY WHITE and CYNTHIA WRAY have been named sales managers at The Homestead resort in Hot Springs. They will assist in national and international sales efforts. Also, LAURIE RINER has been promoted to group sales telemarketing manager.

Webb was most recently convention and sales manager for the Convention and Visitors Bureau in Savannah, Ga.; Westmoreland was formerly sales and convention services manager for Pinehurst Resort and Country Club in North Carolina; White most recently was association sales manager for the Radisson Plaza Hotel in Alexandria; Wray was executive meetings manager at The Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, Fla.; and Riner is a seven-year veteran with the Virginia resort.
