VMI APPROVES TUITION INCREASES

Virginia Military Institute approved tuition increases for in-state and out-of-student students Thursday.

Cadets from Virginia will pay $2,980 for tuition in the 1994-1995 school year. The total bill for tuition, room board and fees will be $8,870 for in-state cadets, $240 (2.7 percent) more than this year

Out-of-state students at the tax-supported, all-male military school will pay $9,020 for tuition. The full cost for out-of-state students will be $14,910, $440 (3 percent) above the current level.

The college's governing board voted for the increases as part of a $27.4 million budget approved Thursday.
