BARTER WORKSHOPS

Young people can now register for two summer workshops being offered by Barter Theatre.

Creative Drama, the beginning level workshop for ages 6-11, will meet through Aug. 12. Acting and Improvisation, an advanced workshop for ages 12-18, will meet Aug. 1-19.

Both will run from 1 to 2:30 p.m. each weekday except Wednesday at St. Thomas Episcopal Church at 124 E. Main St. They emphasize creativity, communication and imagination through theater games and exercises, and will culminate in performances written and directed by the students.

Susanne Boulle, an associate director of Barter's First Light Theatre for young audiences, will lead the workshops. Further information is available by calling 628-2281, extension 327.
