Storyteller visit

RADFORD - Storyteller Susan Blanton visits the Radford Public Library, 30 First St. Wednesday, Nov. 16, 7 p.m., with a program for families and children of all ages.

Dublin storyteller

DUBLIN - The Thanksgiving storyteller, actor Bobby Collins, and colleagues from "The Long Way Home" outdoor drama re-enact the 1621 Thanksgiving feast with Chief Massasoit, as recorded by Edward Winslow, Monday, Nov. 21, 4 p.m., at Free Memorial Library, 300 Giles Ave., Dublin. 'Bells Are Ringing'

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech's theater department will hold auditions for the production of "Bells Are Ringing", Tuesday, Nov. 15, and Wednesday, Nov. 16, 6-10 p.m., at the performing arts building, room 105. Sign-up sheets are located on the bulletin board on the second floor of the building.

Those who audition will learn and use songs from the show at the audition. Prepared songs from "Bells Are Ringing" may also be used. An accompanist will be provided. Dance warm-up and preparation class will also be provided.

The show's performance is scheduled for April 13-16 and April 18-22. Weekday evening and some weekend rehearsals will begin in mid-March. Call 231-5200.

Coalition panel

BLACKSBURG - The Coalition for Community will hold a panel discussion on election implications for Montgomery County Thursday, Nov. 17, at 7:30 p.m. at Luther Memorial Lutheran Church, Prices Fork and Toms Creek roads.

Karen Hult, professor of political science at Virginia Tech; Steve Cochran, vice chairman of the Montgomery County Democratic Party; Pat Cupp, chairwoman of the Montgomery County Republican Party and Elizabeth Obenshain, bureau chief of the New River Valley Bureau of the Roanoke Times & World-News, will participate. Profits for charity

CHRISTIANSBURG - Burger King restaurants in Blacksburg, Christiansburg and the Marketplace Shopping Center will donate 1 percent of profits earned between 5 and 8 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, to Big Brothers andBig Sisters of the New River Valley.

'Danny and Deep Blue Sea'

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech's Theatre Arts-University Theatre will present three workshop productions of John Patrick Shanley's "Danny and the Deep Blue Sea" Monday through Wednesday, Nov. 14-16 at 8 p.m. in 204 Performing Arts Building. Call 231-5200.
