LIFE AFTER LEFTOVERS

Whoever said that you can never have too much of a good thing obviously never tackled Day 3 and beyond of the remains of a good Thanksgiving dinner. But there is life after leftovers for turkey, ham and side dishes, too.

In some cases, leftovers can even improve lives. Hormel is again sponsoring its "Hams for the Holidays" hunger relief campaign in which purchases of its hams and other meat products trigger donations of hams to charitable food pantries. The company is also offering a free recipe packet, available by writing to Cure 81 Ham Recipe Offer, P.O. Box 5000, Austin, Minn. 55912.

Gwaltney's experts can offer suggestions for using their brand's leftover ham at (800) 393-2773. Or get information on tackling that turkey through Reynolds Turkey Information Line, (800) 745-4000, or the Butterball Turkey Talk Line, (800) 323-4848; or for hearing- or speech-impaired callers, (800) TDD-3848.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner and beyond.
