SAPLAK TO TEACH CREATIVE WRITING

Award-winning author Charles M. Saplak will teach a creative writing class during spring semester at New River Community College. The six-week evening class will emphasize creative writing with a personal slant.

The class will focus on how to capture personal experience in a variety of literary forms, including short stories, poetry, essays, journals and memoirs. Students also will receive personal advice and instruction on getting started in writing.

The class will be held Thursdays, starting Feb. 2, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The fee is $35.
