BECKWITH, Genevieve Mae, of Roanoke, Va. went to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 7, 1994. Jenny was born in Roanoke, February 5, 1910, the daughter of George Simeon and Zaida Mae Bell Luck. She was the widow of Charles E. Beckwith who preceded her in death in 1945. Jenny was a retired PBX Operator and sales clerk with Miller & Rhodes, she was also a long time volunteer with the March of Dim es. Surviving are a daughter, Zaida B. Swedberg; two sons and daughters-in-law, Charles E. and Barbara P. Beckwith, George A. and Betty E. Beckwith; 11 grandchildren, Richard E. Swedberg, Zaida L. Swedberg Cassell, Rodney E. Swedberg, Robin E. Swedberg, Steven C. Beckwith, Andrew J. Beckwith, Lauren E. Beckwith, Susan G. Beckwith Ghabra, Jennifer S. Beckwith, David A. Beckwith, Emily D. Beckwith; 11 great-grandchildren, Angela M. Swedberg, Richard Evan Swedberg, Zaida V. Swedberg, Amber Dudding, Ashley Dudding, Matt Dudding, Katie L. Cassell, Kara L. Cassell, Sara E. Beckwith, Hannah L. Beckwith, and Amanda N. Beckwith and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel 10:30 a.m. Saturday, December 10, 1994, with Rev. David M. Derrow officiating. Interment will be in Fair View Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to the March of Dimes, 4504 Starkey Road, SW, Roanoke, VA 24014. CAMPBELL, Elwood Grady, Sr., of Charlottesville, formerly of Salem, died Wednesday, December 7, 1994, at the Eldercare Nursing Home in Charlottesville. Born October 27, 1906, in Buena Vista, Mr. Campbell was raised at the Salem Baptist Orphanage in Salem, Virginia. Mr. Campbell was the retired founder and owner of the Campbell Printing Company of Salem. He was a member of the Tabernacle Baptist Church of Salem, and a member of the Gideon's International organization. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife of sixty-eight years, Elizabeth Creasy Campbell; three daughters, Mary Ann Elder and Jean Wheby of Charlottesville, Carolyn Walter of Roanoke; two sons, Elwood G. Campbell Jr. of Richmond, James P. Campbell of Orlando, Fla.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren. Mr. Campbell was preceded in death by his two sons, Gerald Lee Campbell and John David Campbell. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon's International, 210 W. Market Street, Charlottesville, VA 22903. Services will be at a later time. Teague Funeral Home, Charlottesville, is in charge of arrangements.

CATRON, Luzilla B., (``Lucy''), 69 of Rural Retreat, died late Wednesday, December 7, 1994, in the Valley Health Care Center in Chilhowie. She was the widow of Rhea Leonard Catron. Mrs. Catron was born in Grayson County, Va., the daughter of the late Robert and Effie Weaver Blevins. She was a member of the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church and a member of the U.M.W. She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law, Jack Catron, Rural Retreat, Don and Donna Catron, Troutville, Mike and Teresa Catron, Indianapolis, Ind., Bo and Rita Catron, Abingdon, Va.; one brother, H.C. Blevins, Twain Harte, Calif.; six grandchildren, Eric Catron, Stephanie Synan, Brad Catron, Ch ris Catron, Mandy Catron, and Casey Catron. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church with the Rev. Buford W. Hankins officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Groseclose. The body will be taken to the church one hour before service time. The family requests that those whom prefer, may make memorials to the Rural Retreat United Methodist Church. GILLS, Nina McNamara, 67, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, December 7, 1994. She was the widow of George W. Gills Jr. Surviving are her children, George and Sharon Gills, Roanoke, Daniel and Margaret Gills, also of Roanoke, Nina and Michael Fleming, Blue Ridge, Gary Gills and special friend, Susan Miller, Roanoke; four grandchildren; one sister, Jane Bostick, Ithaca, N.Y.; one sister-in-law and husband, Emily and Richard Schwarzwalder, Roanoke. Services will be at Oakey's South Chapel 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. James Riach will officiate. Interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. HASKINS, Roy Benton Sr., 88, of Martinsville, died Thursday, December 8, 1994, at his home. He was born May 4, 1906, the son of the late Fletcher and Maggie Giles Haskins. He was retired from W. M. Bassett with 29 years of service. Mr. Haskins was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Pedigo Haskins in 1986, two sisters, Mrs. Frances Davis, Mrs. Buneda Buckner, and a brother, Doug Haskins. He is survived by 4 daughters, Mrs. Russell (Maur een) Wingfield, Mrs. Talmadge (Mary Dell) Richardson, Mrs. Edna Mitchel, Mrs. Edwin (Faye) Mitchell, all of Martinsville; one son, Roy Benton Haskins Jr., Martinsville; two brothers, Russell Haskins, Martinsville, Giles Haskins, Callands; four sisters, Mrs. Bernice Mills, Whitmell, Mrs. Callie Brumfield, Chatham, Mrs. Maimie Scearce, Whitmell, Mrs. Dephie Amos, Callands; nine grandchildren; eleven great- grandchildren; five stepgreat-grandchildren; one stepgreat-great-grandchild. MORRIS, Dorothy Craig, 78, of Roanoke, died Wednesday, December 7, 1994. She was the widow of Cecil L. Morris and a member Huntington Court United Methodist Church. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy (``Pat'') and Bob Davis, Roanoke; a number of nieces and nephews including Thomas E. Blackard and wife Pauline, Huntsville, Texas. MURPHY, Jesse William, 87, of Roanoke, died Thursday, December 8, 1994. He was a member of Belmont United Methodist Church; he was retired from the N & W Railway East End Shop with 48 years of service; he was a member of the Association of Retired Railroad EMployees; 50 year member of Mt. Dale Lodge #49 #33 Encampment Branch, Rosemont-Rebekah Lodge #9; Knights of Pythias Roanoke Lodge #47, Dokk Rajah Temple #195, Nomads of Abrudaka Elahmar Santha #65. PATRICK, Barbara Ann, 52, of Ceres, Va. died Thursday, December 8, 1994, in Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem, Va. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert N. Patrick, January 15, 1990. Surviving are her mother, Ruth G. Patrick, Ceres, Va.; a sister, Mrs. Dean (Phyllis) Kirk, Wytheville, Va.; two nieces, Deanna Kirk Mabe, Wytheville, Va., Erin Ruth Kirk, Wytheville, Va.; a nephew, Davis Patrick Kirk, Wytheville, Va. REVES, Foster Albert Jr., (``Sarge``), 68, or Radford, died Thursday, December 8, 1994 as the result of an automobile accident. He was a retired US Army veteran with 28 years service. He was a highly decorated veteran of WWII, Korea and three tours in Vietnam. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Foster A. and Stella G. Reves, and a sister, Patsy R. Whitt. He is survived by his loving wife, Toshiko T. Reves, Radford; two brothers, Edward W. ``Donnie'' Reves, Radford, and Boomer Reves, Dublin; one sister, Mrs. Peggy R. Ray, Dublin; and a host of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 10, 1994 at 2 p.m. at the Gethsemane Baptist Church in Radford with the Rev. Jerry Gibson officiating. ROBERTSON, Ocie McPeak, 83, of Roanoke, passed away Thursday, December 8, 1994. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Robertson. She was a member of the Four Square Evangel Church. Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Betty and Terry Drew, Fredericksburg, Louise and Charles Eakin, Catawba, Janette R. Wray, Salem; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Juanita McPeak, Radford; three sisters and brother-in-law, Iva Cooper, Roanoke, Evelyn and Ozzie Dodd, St. Petersburg, Fla., Annie Boone, Christiansburg; sister-in-law, Opal McPeak, Christiansburg. ROLLER, Edgar Walton, 65, of Winchester, died Tuesday, December 6, 1994. Funeral 1:30 p.m. Friday, Loving Funeral Home, Covington, Va.

SIEBER, Homer Alden, M.D., died at his home, Wednesday, December 7, 1994. He was born March 11, 1922, in Roanoke, the son of Dr. John Luther Sieber, for many years the pastor of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, and Hilda Millen Sieber. He had been in the practice of internal medicine and cardiology in Roanoke from 1953 until his retirement in 1986 from the Roanoke Valley Medical Clinic. He was a 1939 graduate of Jefferson High School; Roanoke College, 1943; and Duke University Medical School, 1946. He received his residency training at Duke Hospital and the University of Virginia Hospital. He was on the Duke Medical School faculty for two years as a fellow in cardiology. Dr. Sieber was inducted into the army in 1943, and served with the U.S. Army Medical Corps Far East Command in the occupation of Japan, holding the rank of captain. He was a life long member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America; was past member and vice chairman of his church's council, and was a member of the organizing board of the Virginia Synod Lutheran Homes. Before retirement he was a member of many medical societies, and had served as president of the Roanoke Valley Heart Association. In 1992 he was named as a Sesquicentennial Distinguished Alumni of Roanoke College. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Mock Sieber, a son and daughter-in-law, Alden and Libby Sieber; a daughter and son-in-law, Constance and Steve Leftwich; three grandchildren, Stephen, Charlotte, and Christian Leftwich, and special grandchild, Erin Ratchford, all are of Roanoke; sister, Mrs. Francis Trimmer (Margaret), West Lafayette, Ind.; sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Robertson (Elizabeth), Charlotte, N.C.; sister-in-law and husband, Dr. and Mrs. W. S. Robinson, Lawrence, Kan.; two nieces and two nephews; one great-niece and three great-nephews. The services will be at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 1001 Franklin Road, at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 10, 1994, with Pastor John M. Hawn and Dr. Virgil A. Moyer officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to The Building Fund of St. Mark's Lutheran Church or Roanoke Memorial Hospice Program. STACK, Beatrice Gregory 83, of Lovettsville died Wednesday, December 7, 1994. She was born in Wirtz Virginia and was the daughter of Benjamin and Cora Hunt Snow. She is survived by her husband, Walter F. Stack, Lovettsville; a sister, Agnes Brown, Chambersburg, Pa.; a brother, James Gregory, Irving, Texas; and a number of nieces and nephews. STUART, Matthew Aldon, 71, of Copper Hill, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 1994, at his home. He was a Marine Veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by a son, Paul A. Stuart. TAYLOR, Mary Margaret, 81, of Buena Vista, died Thursday, December 8, 1994, at Stonewall Jackson Extended Care Facility. She was born August 10, 1913, in Amherst County, daughter of the late Ernest Southers and Cora Leigh Hall Southers. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Church of Later Day Saints in Buena Vista. She was retired from Southern Seminary College. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey Stroud Taylor and a daughter, Virginia Mae Taylor. Surviving are four sons, Ernest Eugene Taylor, Walter T. Taylor, Aubrey A. Taylor, and Robert P. Taylor; four daughters, Della Noel, Peggy Higgins, Patsy Tolley and Jo Ann McNeil all of Buena Vista; four brothers, Carl Southers and Earl Southers both of Richmond, William Southers of Powhatan and Talmage Southers of Buena Vista; a special sister-in-law, Willie Southers of Buena Vista; 19 grandchildren and 13 greta-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with Pastor Jeff Taylor and Elder Alvin Coleman officiating.
