COX TO HEAD TOWN DEVELOPMENT BOARD|

Roscoe Cox, the architect of Pulaski's downtown business revival, has been named to head the town's new Board of Economic Development through June 30.

Cox had been executive director of Pulaski Main Street Inc. during its successful recruitment of new stores along Pulaski's Main Street and adjoining streets.

Cox had once worked at Jefferson Mills and had been active in civic affairs in the town during that time. He returned to Pulaski following his retirement from another company, and agreed to head the Main Street program on a part-time basis.

Now he has been appointed by Town Council as executive director of the new board, whose members have not yet been named by the governing body.

The idea of a single economic development board, to do for the entire town what Pulaski Main Street did for the main business section, came from Councilman John Stone. Its members could be appointed early in 1995.
