BATH COUNTY ROLLS PAST RIVERHEADS

Patrick Lennon scored a game-high 15 points as Bath County coasted to an easy 64-38 victory over Riverheads in a non-district boys' high school basketball game Thursday night.

The Chargers (1-1) went on a 15-4 second quarter run to break the game open. Seven different players scored in the run.

Lennon scored nine of his 15 and Kris Phillips added nine of his 11 in the first half, including three 3-pointers.

The Gladiators (0-2) were led by Mike Wieger with nine points.

Parry McCluer 73, Riverheads 41: Mike McElroy scored 10 of his game-high 23 points in the first quarter as the Fighting Blues used a fast start to blow away Riverheads in a non-district game.

Nathan Floyd scored eight of his 11 in the first quarter as the Fighting Blues (3-0) outscored Riverheads (0-1) 24-6 in the first quarter.

Carl Sanderson added 13 points for Parry McCluer which had nine different players score. Riverheads got nine points from Michael Wieger.
